Contest 1: Iconic Valentines With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we’re excited to make a huge announcement: we are officially teaming up with one of our favorite extension team, Specctr, for our first ever design contest. To Valentine’s Day is the day of romance and love. Celebrated on the 14th of February, spouse’s, partners or lovers present each other with cards, letters, flowers or presents to show their love. They may also arrange a romantic meal in a restaurant or night in a hotel. Common symbols of Valentine’s Day are hearts, red roses and Cupid. Then there are those who remember Valentine’s Day for it’s historical event; the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. The Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre is the name given to the 1929 murder of seven mob associates as part of a prohibition era conflict between two powerful criminal gangs in Chicago: the South Side Italian gang led by Al Capone and the North Side Irish gang led by Bugs Moran. Former members of the Egan’s Rats gang were also suspected of having played a significant role in the incident, assisting Capone. For this Valentine’s day, whether you celebrate the day of romance or the day of massacre, we want you to create the next great themed icon. Since this is our first contest, we are not going to be too strict in terms of the rules. Create an icon that you think suits your definition of Valentine’s Day that highlights your experience with the romance or fear you feel with Adobe Fireworks. All entries must say “With Love, Fireworks” to be considered a valid entry. This text does not have to be part of the icon itself, but should be in the .fw.png entry. The Rules: You can enter as many times as you like You must submit .fw.png source file (please include it inside a .zip or .rar archive) Must highlight your experience with Fireworks (do not have to use the Fireworks icon) Must mention “With love, Fireworks” Entry must be an icon design and must have the Valentine’s Day theme Must be your own work!
